Wounded Warriors Canada is hosting monthly Euchre games to help raise funds for The Battlefield Bike Ride.
These games are being held every third Monday of the month until May.
Wounded Warriors Canada is a national mental health service provider whose mission is to support Canada’s injured and ill Canadian Forces members, first responders and their families regardless of if they are active duty or retired who are suffering from mental health related injuries and illnesses. Some of the programming offered by Wounded Warriors Canada includes trauma resiliency training, Couples Overcoming PTSD, Warrior Kids Camp, Surviving Family Programs, OSI & PTSD K-9 placements to name a few.
The Battlefield Bike Ride is a large fundraising event that takes place every year where approximately 100 riders from all over Canada head overseas to historical battlefields taking part in a 500km bicycle ride. This year’s event is taking place in Normandy France honoring those who fought and paid the ultimate price during the Normandy Invasions that took place 80 years ago. To date, over 750 cyclists have participated in the Battlefield Bike Ride fundraising events, collectively raising over $3M in support of Wounded Warriors Canada’s mental health programs benefiting ill and injured Veterans, First Responders and their families across Canada.
Light snacks may be provided. The Legion bar will be open for those interested in beverages.
