McHappy Day is a one-day fundraiser organized by McDonald’s Canada and its independent Franchisees where a portion of proceeds from all food and beverage menu items support families with sick and injured children staying at Ronald McDonald House and other local children’s charities across Canada. This year marks the 32nd McHappy Day for McDonald’s® Canada. It is the company’s longest running and largest charitable initiative with more than 1,500 McDonald’s restaurants celebrating McHappy Day this year.
The impact of Ronald McDonald House® across our communities is far-reaching as, 1 in 4 Canadians has either stayed at Ronald McDonald House or know someone who has. Furthermore, since opening its doors 45 years ago, Ronald McDonald House has supported more than half a million families across Canada. Today, 16 Ronald McDonald House® programs provide out-of-town families with holistic support and services such as meal, mental health and wellness programming, while the 21 Ronald McDonald Family Room® programs provide a comfortable place for families to rest, recharge and fuel at their child’s bedside.
A portion of the proceeds from all food and beverage menu items, all day, will go to Ronald McDonald House Toronto.
