If you or someone you love struggles with their mental health, Ride Don’t Hide with 100.5 Fresh Radio and Leon’s Peterborough.  On Sunday June 24th, the Canadian Mental Health Association Ridge will host its 3rd Annual Ride Don’t Hide event, the largest mental health bike ride in Canada. Thousands of Canadians from across the country aren’t hiding. They are cycling in plain sight to put an end to the stigma of mental illness. They are also riding to raise funds for mental health programs and services in their communities.

In Peterborough, the 2018 event, hosted by C.M.H.A. H.K.P.R. will support SAFE BEDS at Four County Crisis Community Mental Health Crisis Response Program (4CC).

4CC provides a continuum of comprehensive crisis response services to individuals with a mental illness, mental health concerns, and individuals in crisis. Crisis support is available to individuals sixteen years of age or older in the city and county of Peterborough, City of Kawartha Lakes, and the counties of Haliburton and Northumberland. SAFE BEDS specifically provides a safe and supportive environment in a beautiful residential home setting for individuals within Peterborough, Haliburton, Kawartha Lakes, and Northumberland Counties. A short-term stay is available to all genders 16 years of age and older.

Ride Don’t Hide in support of C.M.H.A. H.K.P.R. and 4CC. Together we can put an end to the stigma of mental illness and provide a safe night’s sleep for those in distress in our community.
