The Dirty Enduro for Mental Health

The event takes place August 18, 2018 and will include a challenging 12km and 24km loop as well as a special children’s event. Focused on family participation and fun, Ben and Ashley see the new Dirty Enduro as a time for folks who are new to mountain biking to join other, more experienced riders for a fun day on the trails, all in support of mental health. With two young children of their own, they know the importance of family time together and instilling in their children an awareness of the importance of regular physical activity while promoting positive mental health. That’s why they’ve chosen CMHA HKPR’s Kids on the Block Program as the program that Dirty Enduro will support.

Kids on the Block is a children’s education program that focuses on children’s wellness and in particular mental health. The program is delivered through the use of life size puppets in schools, libraries and community centres addressing topics such as bullying, building resilience and the importance of physical activity.
