The Fire & Ice Festival – Havelock, is BACK!!
Join us at the HBMProud – Havelock Community Outdoor Rink for a family-friendly FREE event that celebrates the wonders of Fire & Ice, February 11, from 12p-7p.
This day long festival will feature a special appearance by Brigette Lacquette; she is the first First Nations hockey player to be named to Canada’s National Women’s Team. Lacquette first joined the National Women’s U18 Team in August 2008. She went on to win silver and gold at the 2009 and 2010 IIHF U18 Women’s World Championships
We are extremely honoured to have Brigette join us for the festivities, and we hope you all come out to say hello!
This year’s featured events:
● Brigette Lacquette, Canadian Olympian, First Nations hockey player
● Fire Arts performance by Trellis Arts and Entertainment
● Ice Carving contest
● Petting farm visit and animal snuggle zone by CritterVisits.ca
● Rinkside fire barrels and marshmallow toasting
● Chili, hotdogs, and cornbread available for dinner
● Public skating
● Lantern walk
● Movie screening at the Havelock Centre with hot chocolate
● Fireworks
● Weekend outdoor rink events with fire barrels throughout the month
This is a non-profit event in Partnership with HBM Proud -Havelock Community Rink and the Havelock Chamber of Commerce.
