Help Parker raise money to get a new specialty chair!
Parker Fulford, 11, is full of life and is an inspiration to the community.
But he faces daily challenges. The son of Jennifer and Mike Fulford, Parker has shown his fighting spirit from the very start, after a premature birth at 23 weeks following an emergency airlift to Mount Sinai Hospital. He weighed 630 grams (or one pound, three ounces) and was eventually transferred to Sick Kids Hospital with the odds against him.
Shortly after birth, Parker suffered a stroke and his lungs collapsed. Today, he’s near-sighted, deaf, and has cerebral palsy. Parker was in the hospital for 168 days and Jennifer had to wait at least one month before she could hold her newborn, who’d fought so hard against so many dire predictions.
Today, Parker is 11 years old and doing amazing. However, Parker is in need of a new pod chair. This special chair provides him with a lot more comfort and security. The chair plus the base of the chair cost over $6,000.
Join Parker and his friends and family on Sunday, May 7th from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Lions Club to help raise money to go towards his new chair. The fundraising event will include local businesses, craft vendors, a silent auction, and face painting by donation. Face painting will be available to attendees from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for a small donation towards the the fundraiser.
