Honeymoon Suite

Classic Canadian rock’s long relationship with Peterborough Musicfest continues in a very big way on Wednesday, August 2 when Honeymoon Suite performs at Del Crary Park as part of the festival’s 36th season.

Formed in Niagara Falls in 1981 – the band’s name is a nod to the city’s Honeymoon Capital status – Honeymoon Suite exploded onto the charts in 1984 with the singles New Girl Now, Burning In Love, Wave Babies and Stay In The Light, all featured on its debut self-titled album. The following year saw the The Big Prize released, with the single Feel It Again being the band’s first Top 20 hit.

Nominated for five Juno Awards, Honeymoon Suite took home the Group of the Year statue in 1986.

While band personnel changes have been a constant over the years, founding members Johnnie Dee, Derry Grehan and Dave Betts are featured in the current configuration.

Come spend a hot summer night under the stars with Honeymoon Suite!
