There will be food trucks and beer tent for spectators to enjoy. A variety of classes will be offered to competitors. “This is one of our favourite events to host. It’s incredible to see these trucks and tractors pushed to their limit, and the pullers certainly are competitive! This is a great show for all ages to come and watch. It’s very exciting. We’re halfway through our major events season now and we have been very happy with the support and turnout at our events so far,” says Summer Nickerson-Hagen, marketing director of Kawartha Downs. “The vibes are so good, and these tractor pull events just give you that middle-of-summertime feeling,” Nickerson-Hagen adds.
Kawartha Downs had their brand new track built just last summer and it has been praised throughout the pulling industry. Rod Cochrane of the Ontario Truck and Tractor Pulling association, dubs the Kawartha Downs track as the “biggest pull in Ontario” and encourages people to come see “60 of the top competitors in Canada go to battle on the greatest facility we have seen to date!”. Rod Cochrane is also handling all the registrations for Kawartha Downs pulls this year, and he can be reached by phone at 905-243-1124 for all registration inquiries.
