There are 470 open appointments that need to be filled so hospital patients have the blood and blood products they need! Summer is traditionally a difficult time for us to collect blood. With people away or busy with other activities, there tend to be fewer blood donations during the summer. But cancer patients, accident victims, and people with blood disorders rely on blood transfusions every day.Since blood products have a limited shelf life, demand is constant.
