Change The Cycle

The Canadian Mental Health Association Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge (CMHA HKPR) is pleased to announce the launch of the third annual ‘Change the Cycle’ fundraising event, presented by Tom’s Heating & Cooling and Corus Entertainment. This year’s event will take place on June 21st, at Nicholls Oval in Peterborough.

The funds from this year’s Change the Cycle will support Youth and Family Mental Health programming. “By supporting Change the Cycle, you are supporting youth and family mental health services in our region and ensuring that the mental health needs of our youth and caregivers are met,” says Jack Veitch, Manager of Community Engagement and Education with CMHA HKPR. “Youth and caregiver supports are an important factor in fostering a healthier and more supportive community for all.”

In 2023, CMHA HKPR launched Change the Cycle with the hopes of creating a cycling event for mental health awareness where all the money raised was kept right here, in our community. Last year, Change the Cycle raised over $40,000 for CMHA HKPR’s initiatives.

This year, cyclists can register for a 4k, 12k or 26k ride along the Rotary Trail in Peterborough. Please visit changethecycle.net to register as an individual or a team. Registration is $20 per person and children 12 and under register for free. Registration includes the ride, a t-shirt, and a BBQ lunch.

Proudly sponsored by Tom’s Heating & Cooling, 101.5 The Wolf, Global Peterborough and 100.5 Fresh Radio.
