Event Details: Climate change and health will be the focus of the “Your Health and Climate Change: Up Close and Personal” event on Thursday, March 28 organized by Peterborough Public Health the Peterborough Family Health Team, For Our Grandchildren, and GreenUP. With keynote speaker, Dr. Edward Xie, Chair of the Ontario Committee for Canadian Association of Physicians for the Environment (CAPE), members of the public can expect to learn about the current and future impacts of climate change on the health of humans and the local community. Dr. Edward Xie will then be joined by Brianna Salmon, Executive Director of GreenUp; Melanie Kawalec, Peterborough City’s Sustainability Manager, and Kerry-Ann Charles; Cambium Aboriginal’s Coordinator of Lands and Climate Change, for a public Question and Answer period.
