The Secret Marathon 3K: The local chapter of Canadian Women for Women in Afghanistan (CW4WAfghan) and the Running Room are co-hosting a 3K walk/run on the eve of International Women’s Day to raise funds for the education of women and girls in Afghanistan. Money raised will also fund a documentary film about women marathoners in Afghanistan, who had to train and run secretly due to cultural traditions. Hence the name: The Secret Marathon.
