Wave of Light
Event Details:
It Takes Grace holds two events each year, the butterfly release in the summer (this summer was our fifth event) and the Wave of Light (this fall will be our second event). On October 15th, we will be holding our event as we did last year, at Rogers Cove, with Centennial Fountain illuminated in purple as our backdrop The vigil will run from 6:45-7:15 P.M. and will be comprised of poetry, music, candle-lighting, and reading of names. This coming October our mayor, Diane Therrien, will attend and officially proclaim the recognizance of October 15th as Pregnancy and Infant Loss Day in Peterborough. This is really important because pregnancy and infant loss is such a heartbreaking and often-silent topic; our goal is to break that silence and help people realize that they are not alone in their grief.
