Downtown Peterborough in the 1950s and 1960s: a young fellow’s perspective
Event Details: The April meeting of the Peterborough Historical Society will feature an illustrated lecture by Fred Gariepy, a life-long resident of Peterborough who practices law in the Alfred W. Gariepy Murphy Law Office. Whether written down or not, memory is fundamental to our understanding of history. What we remember, and how we remember it, shapes our narrative of past events and reflects a perspective that may not be shared by others. Perhaps our childhood and youthful memories are the most firmly embedded.
