Santa’s Sleigh 2020

Update:

THANK YOU to all who took part in this year’s Santa’s Sleigh Fundraiser! The Kawartha-Haliburton Children’s Foundation is proud to report that to date (Dec 10), they have received $66,360 in grants, Canada Helps donations, cheques and donated gift cards.

The impact is a lot of smiles for over 1,000 children involved with the KHCAS.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

The Kawartha-Haliburton Children’s Foundation is proud to once again host their annual gift collection program – Santa’s Sleigh. This year will be slightly different from past years as the pandemic impacts our ability to collect gifts, however, the goal remains the same – to fulfil a Christmas wish for children receiving services from the Kawartha-Haliburton Children’s Aid Society.

Beginning Thursday November 19th, we invite community members to purchase a gift card from a store listed below and drop it off at one of our drop off locations.

This gift card will be used to purchase a gift that will go directly to a child in the community so that we and you, can put a smile on this child’s face on Christmas morning.

You can also donate online HERE, where 100% of your donation will be used to purchase gift cards and in turn, will be used to purchase the Christmas gifts.

Proudly sponsored by 101.5 The Wolf, Global Peterborough and 100.5 Fresh Radio.

About the Kawartha-Haliburton Children’s Foundation

The Kawartha-Haliburton Children’s Foundation provides funding so that children currently receiving protection services from the Kawartha-Haliburton Children’s Aid Society experience enrichment opportunities ranging from belonging to a sports team, to dance, art, and music lessons, and has the means to participate on special school trips.  Each year we send hundreds of children to summer camp which gives them the opportunity to meet new friends, learn new skills and give them the confidence to pursue their goals. Every year the Foundation provides a $2,500 bursary per semester to former Crown Wards attending college, university, and trade schools through our Margaret Davies Bursary Fund.
