Paddy vs Patty. The people of Ireland have a definite opinion about which is correct.

While it’s usually held on the Sunday preceding March 17th, Peterborough’s annual St. Patrick’s Day parade will happen on the actual day of the holiday this year.

Not only does it move to Saturday, the parade start time is a bit earlier too, leaving City Hall at Noon and making its way down George Street.

And, regardless of our actual ancestry, we all get to be Irish this Saturday!  However, please respect the wishes of people from Ireland, and wish each other a “Happy St. Paddy’s Day” – – not “Patty’s”.  They’ve got a real “thing” about that, ok??!!
