Halsey has smoked her final (hopefully) cigarette..
Yesterday on Twitter, she revealed that she’s quit smoking cigarettes after 10 years – – a habit that began when she was 14.
“I successfully quit nicotine a few weeks ago after smoking for TEN years,” Halsey tweeted.
Adding, “I gained a lot of weight and probably lost some friends forever because I was being a NUT (lol) but I’m so happy I did it and I feel very good. Just wanted to share.”
After sharing her good news, Kelly Clarkson congratulated Halsey and shared words of encouragement:
“I don’t even know you and I’m proud of you,” Clarkson replied. “That’s amazing! You’re too cool, talented, and inspiring for you to shave years off your beautiful life girl.”
Even as a non-smoker myself, I can appreciate the strength and determination it must take to kick the habit. Nicotine is an addictive substance, and I commend anyone who has been able to break free from its grip.
If you have had success in breaking free, please share how you were able to do it. Maybe your advice will be the inspiration for someone else to stop smoking.
