Health Canada has expanded the recall of these flushable wipes

As we continue to diligently clean and disinfect touch-point surfaces during the COVID-19 outbreak, Canadian consumers are being warned of some wiping products that may cause harm.

Health Canada has expanded a recall of those “Cottonelle” Flushable Wipes due to a potential bacterial contamination.  These products were sold in various Canadian stores across the country.

The recall warns that the affected products may contain a bacteria that can cause infections, especially in those with weakened immune systems.

The manufacturer (Kimberly-Clark) had previously issued a recall of the wipes back on Oct. 9th; however, the recall at that time was limited to specific lots of Cottonelle Flushable Wipes and Cottonelle GentlePlus Flushable Wipes, including the 10-pack of flushable wipes sold at Costco stores in Canada.

Health Canada has expanded that recall, which now includes 6 different products.  Click HERE for the full release from Health Canada, and information on what to do if you have these products.
