Three Loonies on the Street 2018

Feed the need! 100 Fresh Radio, 101.5 The Wolf and Global Peterborough present the 18th annual Three Loonies on the Street in support of Kawartha Food Share in conjunction with Corus Feeds Kids. This year’s event takes place Friday December 14th from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. in a new location – Peterborough Square, corner of George and Simcoe, Downtown Peterborough.

Over the past 17 years, the Three Loonies on the Street have raised more than $1.4 Million for local families in need. This is certainly a milestone by any standard, but unfortunately, the need continues to grow in Peterborough and area. Kawartha Food Share currently assists more than 8,100 men women and children every month through their 36 member agencies. This includes KFS’s four meal programs, four City food banks, six housing projects, seven county food banks, and over 20 food cupboards across the City & County of Peterborough. Last year Kawartha Food Share distributed over 5 million dollars worth of food and emergency care needs.

This holiday season, please help feed the need. Even one Loonie can make a big difference!

For every $1 donated, Kawartha Food Share can purchase up to $6 worth of food. For every $1 donated, they’re able to distribute $6 worth of food to local families in need. Cash donations allow KFS to get food through many different sources including bulk purchases, food drives and other food programs. Cash donations also let KFS purchase food that is needed the most.

You can do this one of four ways:
